Hamilton COUNTY KINSHIP CARE PROGRAM

Hamilton County’s Job and Family Services department considers care by relatives or non-relatives with long-standing relationships to the child to be a desirable option for abused and neglected children who can no longer live with their parents. Staying with a relative allows the children to maintain their sense of belonging, culture and traditions. Kinship care also reduces the financial burden of foster care.

Kinship families are often eligible for financial assistance, food assistance, health insurance, child care services and other assistance programs. We can help assist you in navigating these programs, as well as answer other questions you may have about kinship care.
